About the Coffee

Carlos Estrada began cultivating coffee at Finca Santa Irene in 2012, gradually developing 15 hectares of the family’s protected forest reserve. Passionate about specialty coffee, Carlos continually experiments with new varieties and processing methods while investing in equipment that gives him greater control over quality.

Catuai is the farm’s main varietal, and Carlos combines careful farm management with a hands-on approach to processing. His openness to experimentation and commitment to improving quality continue to shape the distinctive coffees produced at Santa Irene.

FAQs

How’s the Bold Street Coffee subscription work?

Our coffee subscription is the easiest way to enjoy Bold Street Coffee at home. Simply choose your preferred coffee option from Espresso, Filter, or Decaf and set your delivery frequency. We’ll roast, pack, and send your coffee straight to your door.

You’ll receive a rotating selection of our seasonal coffees. Deliveries go out every Tuesday and Friday, and shipping is free.

Your subscription is fully flexible too! You can change your grind size, bag size, delivery frequency, or even pause and cancel anytime through your online customer portal.

Can I choose which coffee I get in my subscription?

No but that’s part of the fun! We rotate our coffees every two weeks, so you’ll get to experience a variety of our coffees from different countries around the world. It’s a great way to discover new flavours and enjoy the full Bold Street Coffee range.

How often will my coffee be delivered?

That’s completely up to you. When you set up your subscription, you can choose the delivery frequency that works best for you! Whether that’s every week, fortnight, or month. We ship every Tuesday and Friday, so your coffee always arrives fresh.

Is your packaging recyclable or eco-friendly?

Yes. Our coffee bags are made from advanced Level 4 LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) with a high EVOH barrier to lock in freshness and quality. They meet the DIN EN 13430 standard for recyclability and can be recycled at most supermarket collection points across the UK. We chose this material because it offers excellent product protection while being easier to recycle than many other coffee bag options.

Our delivery packaging is cardboard, which is 100% recyclable at home. Both choices reflect our commitment to reducing environmental impact while ensuring your coffee arrives fresh and full of flavour.

What grind options do you offer for your coffee?

We offer our coffee as whole beans or ground to suit your brewing method; Home Espresso, Moka pot, Aeropress, V60, Chemex and French press. Each grind size is dialled in to a market average for each method, however, for espresso machines in particular, you may need to fine-tune your grind at home as every machine can vary.

Can you deliver internationally?

Yes! We can ship anywhere, however, you will have to check if your country will charge you customs fees to receive the goods.

Can I pause, skip, or cancel my subscription anytime?

Absolutely! You have full control over your subscription through our easy-to-use customer portal here. Whether you want to pause, skip a delivery, adjust your order, or cancel altogether, it’s all quick and hassle-free. No questions asked.
