What we taste
Process
Coffee processing is the crucial stage between harvesting and roasting where the coffee bean is separated from the fruit that surrounds it. Once ripe, coffee cherries are picked, the layers of skin, pulp, and mucilage must be removed to extract the seed; what we know as the coffee bean.
How this fruit is removed, and how the beans are dried, has a major impact on the final flavour. From clean and crisp to fruity and funky, the processing method shapes the character of every cup.
Roasted For
What is the difference?
The way a coffee is roasted has a huge impact on how it tastes. Lighter or darker roast development brings out different qualities, from bright fruit notes to deeper chocolate tones. Here’s a quick guide:
Filter Roast
Roasted lighter to keep more of the coffee’s natural acidity and delicate aromatics intact. With a shorter roast development time, you’ll taste more fruit, florals and sweetness, and less bitterness. Perfect for pourover brew methods like V60 and Chemex, which let those flavours really shine.
Espresso Roast
Developed for a bit longer in the roaster, building more caramelisation and body. This helps balance the natural acidity and creates a richer, rounder flavour that works especially well under the intense pressure of an espresso machine. It also gives enough structure to cut through milk in lattes and flat whites.
Omni Roast
A carefully balanced approach that sits between the two. Roast development is fine-tuned to highlight clarity when brewed as filter, while still giving enough depth and solubility for espresso. A flexible choice if you like to switch between brew methods at home without needing separate bags.

Is your packaging recyclable or eco-friendly?
Yes. Our coffee bags are made from advanced Level 4 LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) with a high EVOH barrier to lock in freshness and quality. They meet the DIN EN 13430 standard for recyclability and can be recycled at most supermarket collection points across the UK. We chose this material because it offers excellent product protection while being easier to recycle than many other coffee bag options.
Our delivery packaging is cardboard, which is 100% recyclable at home. Both choices reflect our commitment to reducing environmental impact while ensuring your coffee arrives fresh and full of flavour.
What grind options do you offer for your coffee?
We offer our coffee as whole beans or ground to suit your brewing method; Home Espresso, Moka pot, Aeropress, V60, Chemex and French press. Each grind size is dialled in to a market average for each method, however, for espresso machines in particular, you may need to fine-tune your grind at home as every machine can vary.
